Beyond Borders ECPAT Canada announces its 2014 Media Awards winners
Strong, in-depth reporting on the realities for children who have been sexually victimized is prominently featured in the winners of Beyond Borders ECPAT Canada Media Awards.
“Thank-you to all of our nominees for giving a voice to victims and for tackling difficult stories of child sexual exploitation. These stories bring awareness to Canadians and need to be told. Having knowledge, gives us the power to fight child sexual exploitation and advocate for the rights of children,” says Christine Krahn-Matias, co-chair of the Media Awards.
The winners will receive their awards at a ceremony on Monday, November 17, 2014, at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
